Cable Lateral Raise

Intermediate Cable Shoulders

How to do it

  1. Stand with your side facing a low cable pulley. Grasp the handle with the hand farthest from the pulley, keeping your arm at your side with a slight bend in your elbow. Stand upright with your feet shoulder width apart. This will be your starting position.
  2. As you exhale, raise your arm out to the side until it is parallel to the floor, keeping the slight bend in your elbow. Tip: Lead the movement with your elbow rather than your wrist.
  3. Hold the contracted position for a second at the top.
  4. Slowly lower the handle back to the starting position as you breathe in.
  5. Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions, then switch arms.
