Cooltivo Inc. (“Cooltivo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Cooltivo mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name and email address — provided during sign-up via Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or email/OTP authentication.
- Profile photo — optionally uploaded from your device.
Fitness & Health Data
- Birth date, height, weight, and preferred measurement system
- Fitness level and training preferences (sessions per week, duration)
- Workout logs: exercises performed, sets, reps, weights, and completion timestamps
- Program enrollment and progress
Chat & AI Interaction Data
- Messages you send to AI-powered chat participants (“Habitants”)
- AI-generated responses and recommendations
- Onboarding conversation data used to personalize your experience
Automatically Collected Data
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalize the Service (workouts, programs, AI coaching)
- Generate AI-powered workout plans and fitness recommendations
- Power conversational AI interactions with Habitants
- Track your fitness progress over time
- Send push notifications (workout reminders, messages)
- Improve and optimize the Service
3. AI Data Processing
Cooltivo uses third-party AI models (including Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) to power chat interactions and workout generation. When you interact with AI features:
- Your messages and relevant fitness data are sent to AI model providers for processing
- AI providers process this data according to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements
- We do not use your data to train AI models
- AI-generated content is stored in our database as part of your chat history
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party service providers to help us operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including providers for:
- Database hosting, authentication, and file storage
- API hosting, content delivery, and media storage
- Authentication via Apple Sign In and Google Sign In
- App distribution and push notification delivery
- AI model providers: Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude — used for chat interactions and content generation (see our AI Disclosure for details)
These providers may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers that maintain appropriate security standards and data protection practices.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in secure, hosted databases with row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data. Media files are stored in secure cloud storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems, including your profile, workouts, programs, chat history, and fitness data.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the app
- Update your profile information at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data through the app settings
- Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
8. Children’s Privacy
Cooltivo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the “Last updated” date.
