Thread the Needle
Beginner Body Only Middle Back
A rotational stretch from all fours that reaches one arm under the body, targeting the muscles between the shoulder blades and the mid-back area that stiffens with long sitting.
How to do it
- Start on all fours with your hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips.
- Slide your right arm under your body to the left, palm up, until your right shoulder and ear rest on the floor.
- Hold for the target time, feeling the stretch between your shoulder blades, breathing slowly.
- Press through your left hand to return to all fours and repeat on the other side.
